Richard Clarke, Head of Land and Planning presented to the Skills West ‘ Next Generation Careers’ event at Aerospace Bristol on 7th March 2019. In the iconic Aerospace Bristol, home of Concorde, Skills West ran a day long series of presentations and exhibitions looking at Advanced Engineering & Aerospace, Construction and Low Carbon.
Richard explored a raft of current issues which are impacting on Housebuilding and Construction sectors. This included a look at how well joined up or not Global, National and Local policy makers are working and some of the gaps that exist. He then went on to look at the careers opportunities and training needs, in these sectors.
The event was run by Skills West who are sponsored by European Union, The Skills Funding Agency, Business West and Western Training Provider Network. The event was well supported by Employers, Careers and Education providers together with Training providers
