WE’RE HONOURED TO BE RECOGNISED FOR OUR COMMITMENT TO DEFENCE PERSONNEL
14th January 2022
As we start 2022, we’re delighted and honoured that following our signing of the Armed Forces Covenant last year, we have been granted a Bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme recognises commitment and support from UK employers for those who have served in the Armed Forces and their families.
Simon Taylor, MD of Autograph Homes says,
“We are fully supportive of the Armed Forces Covenant and it’s therefore an honour to receive this Bronze award. Veterans have wide ranging skills that can contribute real value within the company, so we have formalised our approach to recruitment of ex-forces personnel, and our support of local cadets units.
“We’re proud to be supporting those who have served, and we hope that in doing so we can inspire others to do the same.”
Autograph Homes will be offering a bespoke discount package on new homes to Defence personnel, details of which will be available in the future.
Through its association with the Armed Forces community, the Bristol-based independent housebuilder is promising to support the employment of veterans young and old, spouses and partners, by welcoming applications from and guaranteeing interviews with, veterans who meet the specific job criteria, recognising military skills and qualifications in its recruitment process.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a public pledge recognising the value serving personnel contribute to our country, with Autograph Homes promising to uphold the key principles that no member of the Armed Forces community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services, compared to any other citizen, and that in some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate especially for the injured or bereaved.
