Buyers Clamber For Low Carbon Homes
11th November 2021
Our new housing development Viewpoint@Totterdown has fully sold off-plan.
Each of these new homes received a SAP A rating for environmental impact, placing them within the top 1% of newly built, energy efficient homes across the country.
We believe the strong and immediate demand for homes at this development demonstrates that Bristol home buyers are keen to embrace the efficiencies and radical reduction in carbon footprint that a low carbon home can bring.
“Around a fifth of carbon emissions in the UK come from household energy usage ,so addressing the efficiency of our new homes has been a priority for us” says Simon Taylor, Managing Director at Autograph Homes “With COP 26 sending out strong messages of how we all need to act now to reduce carbon emissions, I’m pleased that at Autograph Homes we’re already building homes that are fuel-efficient to heat. We’re using a range of innovative technologies, such as air source heat pumps, abandoning traditional gas boilers. The fact that all of the homes at Viewpoint were sold off-plan, shows how receptive our customers are for environmentally friendly homes.”
ViewPoint@Totterdown comprises 3-bed townhouses, family homes and 1&2 bed apartments, all powered by highly-efficient, low impact technologies. Timber frame construction, exceptional insulation and airtightness, and low carbon energy sources, like high output solar panels, raise the standard for environmentally conscious living.
