Autograph Homes has acquired the site of the former Cheltenham Road Library in Cotham, North Bristol, from Bristol City Council. The property has planning permission for the development of 36 new apartments, with underground car parking. Work is scheduled to begin this summer.
Ben St Quintin, associate at Alder King’s Bristol office, says “There was unprecedented demand for the site from local and national developers. The property sits within a popular residential area on one of Bristol’s most thriving thoroughfares, with a wide variety of local and independent shops, restaurants and bars.”

The council is creating a new, purpose built library at the old Bristol North Baths site.
